Nosedive Biography

We've been together for almost two years now and its been two pretty busy years. Starting in JP's basement, Doug, Matt, and JP wrote Nosedive's first 3 chord song, Abe. It wasn't exactly a smash hit but at least we could all play together. This break-through was followed by months of playing, writing, recording on to crappy Radioshack boomboxes, and a lot of goofing off. Then we saw an add for the Odeon High School Rock Off and thought "What the heck," and we entered. To our dismay we were picked and played at the Odeon sometime in January 1997. Probably the biggest thing it turned out to be was a learning experience, like not to play with a lot of heavy metal bands. But we got through it and the thirty or so people we brought enjoyed the show. After our first public appearance we headed back to the basement to work on more stuff. Our songs started getting better and demo tapes were floating around all over. And that was pretty much the extent of what we had done since this summer(1998).
